Repair Service Center provides integrated and customized Onsite Technician Services
for the malfunctions in all IT-related hardware devices like Desktops, laptops,
Printers Scanners, etc., along with operating systems and software. As a member of
the Repair Service Center IT Team, the Onsite Computer Technician is considered a
Computer expert responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting
computers, laptops, and printer hardware and software problems.
As an Onsite Computer Technician, you will be responsible to assist in
troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining all IT-related hardware and
software devices and applications while ensuring that they work correctly and
safely. The technician needs to be able to communicate clearly the methods of
operation that are required as well as successfully implement them.
You will support the following:
Repair Service Center On-Site Technician Responsibilities and Duties
Be the first point of contact to process and supervise queues in ticketing tools for
timely addressing open cases and service requests. And ensure tickets are updated at
all times until issues are resolved.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- He should be capable to execute all aspects of repair, maintenance, and security
including everything from physical cleaning of components to detailed software
diagnosis.
- Troubleshoots and resolves PC incidents and/or VIP requests.
- Provides second-line investigation and diagnosis.
- Resolves and closes incidents/service requests as per help desk procedures &
allocated timelines.
- Escalates unresolved incidents/service requests within agreed timescales.
- Logs relevant incident/service request details per help desk procedures.
- Repair, substitution, or replacement of faulty hardware as necessary.
- Repair, install, reinstallation, or reprogram software as necessary.
- Coordinates with Service Desk for hardware repair.
- Backup of data as necessary in order to restore functionality.
- Follow-up with Customer after the solution has been implemented.
Qualification Required for this Job
- Degree in Computer Science and the related field.
- Professional IT Certificates such as - MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, Cisco
CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or VMware VC
- Proven work experience as an IT technician.
Hardware Skills
- Complete Knowledge of internal components of workstations and servers to include
motherboards, ram, hard drives, video, sound, I/O, optical drives, and ports.
- Practical knowledge of accessories including keyboards, pointing devices,
scanners, printers, networking devices, routers, wireless devices, security
devices, and gaming devices.
- Practical knowledge of accessories including keyboards, pointing devices,
scanners, printers, networking devices, routers, wireless devices, security
devices, and gaming devices.
Software Skills
- Strong PC & Mac Support knowledge of all currently available Windows operating
systems including installation, recovery, setup, and updating of all current
versions.
- Practical knowledge of most major software suites for office use including
Microsoft Office, WordPerfect Suite, and MS Works to include installation,
setup, recovery, and updating.
- Excellent knowledge of all internet browsing, e-mail, and communications
software including Internet Explorer, Netscape, Outlook (Express), Eudora,
Firefox, Mozilla, etc.
Technical Skills
Strong Troubleshooting Skills in Operating Systems, Windows OS installation, and
reinstallation.
